HI ALL,
MY AUTO ROOF JUDDERS WHEN BEING LOWERED ON MY 1996 BONGO, I HAVE TAKEN TO A GARAGE WHO INFORMED ME IT DOES THIS BECAUSE IT IS WORN.
DOES ANYONE HAVE INFO ON WHAT COULD BE WRONG AS I WOULD LIKE TO RESOLVE THIS AS IT LOOKS UNSIGHTLY WHEN BEING LOWERED AT CAMP SITES AND IM WORRIED ITS GOING TO GET STUCK.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED.

MANY THANKS

PAUL

First off, I would get yourself a can of white lithium grease from your local motor factor (or Halfrauds if money is no object :) ) and carefully spray it on all the mechanism, all the little roller wheels, all the tracks, make sure you do both tracks on the roof itself as there is a second track behind the one you can see easily. If you use a shield of some kind like a piece of cardboard you can protect the fabric of the roof while you spray. After doing that operate the roof up and down a couple of times to spread the grease around.

Make sure you have the engine running while you operate the roof up and down so that the motors are getting enough juice.
