hi lars
have a go yourself before shelling out for a new motor - fan etc
i did mine 2 weeks ago - works a treat
im not mechanically minded - but im an engineer - so yeh - daft as a plank lol
you only need
10 mm and maybe 12 mm spanners ( sockets will be better )
normail screwdriver
possi or cross screwdriver
wd 40
what ever grease you may have
i ended up dobbin a bit of vasaline in there lol
i followed the fact sheet a little ( changing bushes in fan motor )
i didnt need it until i couldnt get the main cowling off that attaches to the bulk head
all screws and nuts out- and off - yet it still wouldnt come away - read the fact sheet
ahaaa from the glove box - undo the electrical connection for the recirculation vent
done - and straight out
fan out - take bottom off motor -- 2 screws - be carefull
little bronze bearing in the bottom- soak the cap and bearing with wd and leave to soak for 30 mins - go to the motor electrical bit
make sure the brushes have meat of them - i used tissue etc and cleaned all muck dust and crap to what i could remove and see....
wiped the cap clean - and inside the bearing - little dap of grease inside the cap
put back together - carefully lol
i must admit - my curiosity got the better of me - so i plugged the motor fan back in to the electrics - started van - switched fan on ----- owww yeh - so smooth
when i get in the bongo now - i put the fan on just for the sake of it
job well done
start to finish 1 hour and 3/4 - and i did take my time
hey - if all goes balls up - then buy a new fan

big thanks to fact sheet guy and peeps that take the time out to do these things
thanks
andy
