Bongo Fury

I am no starting to look at the front end bushes on my Bongo.

Probably will replace all.

My question is this.....does anyone know of a replacement kit using polyurethane items>?

Would make all the difference in the world.

If there is not a ready made kit out there then I will have to source individual bushes.

Look forward to responses.

well I used them for the Landrover suspension lift I did a few years back and would swear by them. They came from a company called Pollybush...believe it or not bought through a company called 4muudyfeet in Morpeth. If you add .com to that they are on the internet and would be happy to give you the contact number of the factory. Ask for Hannah or Robbie They should be able to tell you if they do Bongo bushes but I would be awfully suprised if they only covered one model of vehicle? They also do special hoses of all different shapes and sizes for those difficult bends where we would normally just kink one round!

Would be nice if they did come up with some bushes though.

I asked the same question a while back , and got no responses, but i've spent ages looking around, and I mean ages. The closest are firms that sell by roll-bar diameter, and general dimensions, and they sell the brackets as well. I should like to see the quality of the brackets, as they appear thinnish from the pictures, and the Bongo is a heavy vehicle. The other problem is that the holes are slotted in the photo of the the brackets...a definite no-no in my book. The alternative is to have them made, but there is usually a requirement of a number of people! My experience is that you MIGHT get one or two interested! You must also appreciate that if the roll-bar is gripped tighter, then the wear is transmitted to the next weaker item...THE DROPLINKS, which will also need upgrading to a similar percentage increase in performance.

If you go down the Polybush route then you must do them all. There is no benefit in just doing a few. Ploybushes give a greater articulation and have no memory. In other words you can punish them hard and they always stay in good shape. They last 3 times longer than the originals and you will definitely feel the difference in the ride and handling. Everything feels much tighter and precise.

One thing tho, they're not cheap. Not sure about a bongo but for a standard landrover disco they were around £200 then but this was for a full chassis rebuild.

On the up side ,, once you get the old ones out which is a pain you do not need a 20T press to put them in. They fall in nicely and sit perfectly. having used these i am totally sold on them.
