Bongo Fury

I now have my replacement (Sprinter) rear wheel arches. I am looking for a repairer who can cope and is within striking distance of Rugby. Anyone had a good experience!

This something I need to do also......waiting for warmer weather though.

Where are you based.

A mate of mine is going to do mine.

I will strip the interior though. Don't fancy doing that in the cold.

It depends what you call striking distance, Martin at Huntingdon coach works made, fitted and painted my arches, he had my van for a week and took pics as he went for me, I did supply him with transit arches but he recons it was easier to make his own than try to get transit items to fit give him a call if you like 01487 824808

Just autorouted it at 60 miles .

Huntingdon is in the ball park - I hear about the transit ones but some say that the Sprinter's are a better fit--I have held them against the arch and they are almost perfect. Hope you don't mind the question what sort of costs did Martin come up with??

The arch on the transit is also the same, it's above and around that is different curves n contours, Martin has done my paintwork for Years so does me a good deal so I'd rather not pre quote for him, give him a call and mention peter who's bongo he done the rear arches on recomended him to ya and see what he says

When you have it done can you take some pictures please so I can have a look, I was the first to use sprinters I think and was more than happy, but I did the job myself.

I have two extremely good body specialists who have given me a firm price of £350.00 to both sides of the bongo, I am getting the panels and soon as the weather permits,lol, I will get it done.

That my friend is a bargain, mine cost More than that on mate's rates !

Indeed that does sound very cheap!

Like M 80NGO, I had mine done by a mate for a much higher price (although seeing the work involved, I could see where the money went). I'm happy with the result, but I would have liked to have spent a bit less than I did!

Can someone confirm the Sprinter arches are the best to use and do you have a pointer where to buy them from please?

Only way we can compare is for a panel guy who has done transit ones to now do the sprinter ones and let us know and include photos to see what the job looks like, but like all work it depends how good the guy/girl is.
I was lucky to have a good panel beater to do mine but he said if he done another set he would do them slightly different.
