DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A NEW REAR DIFF FROM FOR A 97 SGL3?
I HAVE A QUOTE FROM BELLHILL AND WAS WANTING A COUPLE MORE BEFORE TAKING THE PLUNGE.
I WILL TRY WESTWARD AND WELL HOUSE TOMORROW AS I CAN'T FIND AN EMAIL LINK TO EITHER SITE AT THE MOMENT.
THANKS
YVAN.

Have you tried Allans of Plymouth?
When I called in earlier in the year I seem to remember he had a Bongo for scrap.

Price wise I paid ?350 for a used one which has been fine for 1500 miles now.

Though you can usually get a whole axle for around ?400 + vat through the part search websites; be very wary though!
Good luck in your search.

Sorry this isn't an answer to your question......but can I ask what symptoms you got on the way to a failed rear diff and what happens when it actually fails? I think mine is on the way out too!
I get rear nearside wheel skip and graunching when pulling away on to the left (it's fine on right lock).
Cheers.....Rob

Robnkathryn,
If you search YVANOVICZ you will see the post about my diff probs.
KOZYKOT,
Thanks for the message. Is that one to sell or one for your machine?

Kozikot's a dealer from Barnstable in Devon and regularly sells bits on Evilbay - and sometimes doesn't sell them and gives you your money back if he thinks the item didn't sell for enough despite having "won" it
