Hi there guys, happy new year

I have just bought one of those bmw clocks listed on ebay under mazda bongo

The clock is electric time set (unsure if thats the norm) and also has a little compartment for wallet etc. It also has a back light.

Now the question

Does anybody know which wire goes where behind the slot. In the loom. the wires on the back of the clock are Orange &yellow, brown and the 3rd is red&grey.

Thanks guys

Found this post for you by haydn callow http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... ock+wiring

RED/YELLOW = Permanant Live (clock)
GREY/RED = Switched Live (light)
BROWN = Earth

Try this out...??

looks like some was quiker whilst I was writing

I have fitted a BMW clock bought from Ebay, the wiring for the clock I had was:
brown: negative
red/yellow: positive (for clock)
red/grey: positive (for backlight)
You can pick up all of these wires from the Iso connector behind the stereo
iso
orange light
red +ve switched
yellow? +ve
black -ve
a4 +ve
a6 illumination
a7 +ve switched
a8 ground
The clock positive must be connected to the permament live not switched.
Many others have also fitted a voltmeter in the cubbyhole (mine is a £1.49 on ebay with a DPDT momentary switch from Maplin , just enough room but can read Starter or Leisure Batteries)
