Hi,
I bought a Bongo this March with had jsut passed a full MOT.
I have used it at every weekend since then, its a 1995 diesel model 2.5 or 2.6.
My question is is how much travel do you get in the brake pedal.
The brakes stop me but the pedal seems soft and it feels like I have a lot of pedal travel.
Cheers,
Luke

Does the pedal get harder if you pump it?
If so then there is air in the system and it needs bleeding.

lots of bongo's have what seems to be extra travel before they bite, compared to normal cars, its not uncommon,if your concerned take it to an mot station and get them to test the braking power.

i had a problem with my master cylinder. breaks worked ok but had loads of travel. only noticed it cause my dad drove mine. if u can drive someone elses to compair. ads in bristol sorted it out after i bought new part as mine has abs. old one like urs should be easy to sort if this is the case. get a garage or somebody to bleed it and then if still a problem it could be master cylinder/servo. it leaks between the internal seals.
mine is much better now. still a small travel but breaks better now and less travel
hope this helps
