Leaking electricity / glowplug light / door open light

Hi all, newbie here.
Had my Bongo about a month and have so far successfully changed the oil, oil filter and the fuel pump seals, the last being a pig of a job as you can't see what you're doing.
The issue I have got is that in addition to the oil and fuel leaks, the Bongo seems to be leaking electricity as well! I have fittings for a leisure battery, but I have taken the battery off as it was drained flat and now dead. When I am driving, power is being supplied to the cabin electrics (the split charge relay that's fitted kicks in at 13.3V and cuts at 12.8V), so must have greater than 13.3V.
However, when idling (or driving at night – lights on), the cabin electrics cut out and the glow plug light flashes and the door open light comes on, all doors closed.
I've also got issues with the heating, ambient air (cold, but not air con) is kicked out at any temperture up to 31.5deg, and hot air comes out when set to 32deg. Drop the setting back by half a degree to 31.5 and it's back to cold ambient air. (Only mentioned this in case it's related)
Anyone got any ideas why (and how I can fix):
1. the dash lights are coming on?
2. the leisure battery was drained flat in a matter of hours from a full charge even though the Bongo was parked up and nothing was on?
Thanks
