I'm having problems with the leisure battery going flat and trying to trace the cause (assuming the battery isn't knackered)

On disconnecting the LB I've found that the central locking doesn't work. I have a Willinton kit fitted and have found that my taking the Willinton wire out of Fuse 1 and replacing the fuse the central locking works OK
Looking at the the fuse chart, F1 is for the Cabin, F4 should be for the central locking so I'm baffled as to what is going on.
I really want the CL to work from the starter battery and can't see why F1 should have a bearing on it.
Any ideas please.

The door lock has two fuses!
The first one controls the switch itself and is the one that gets switched over in a standard L/B setup as it uses a permanent +12v supply;

The power to actually operate the door locks themselves is via this fuse;

Hence BOTH batteries need to be operating if you switch across the top fuse which is a permanent +12v supply, the top fuse however also covers Interior Lighting, AFT, Radio, Beeper, Air Con & ECU.
The problem, is that the feeds for all these are back in the loom itself, trying to split all the differing functions apart could be a nightmare!

Thanks Geoff, all clear now, bit of a strange way to do it though.

You need to switch the Top fuse across for the Lights and Radio to work off the L/B, ideally the others should be left on the S/B (however it might be worth switching the Door locks over to the L/B as well), but trying to split the loom itself to get to all the functions will be "fun" I suspect. Also the idea of the Willinton kit is EASE of fitting, trying to get people to locate, cut and remake wires within the loom would be a non-starter!

I've had issues before along same lines. The alarm was powered by starter battery but it was looking for a voltage drop on the interior lights (run from the LB) to trigger the alarm. The alarm would error on setting so it would disable that feature. Only solution (without splitting out the wiring behind the fusebox) was to reconnect fuse 1 back to the starter battery.

I suspect this is quite a common issue as more & more people are using leisure batteries to run the stereo & interior lighting.

It's the stereo memory that run off fuse one..... The stereo power comes off the same loom as the mirrors/lighter sockets on fuse 8 15amp... (With ACC.)
