I think he's after the Anti Roll Bar Bushes (as per the title) rather that rear drop links
As you can buy genuine Mazda bush & uprated bracket for under £10 posted, there doesn't seem a huge advantage is shopping around for compatible parts. Obviously, you'd need to order 2

10 quid for a tiny piece of rubber and a bit of bent metal, bloody shocking price but then again it does have the magic word "BONGO" I suppose, think I can get a set of two for a fiver just as good too.

You are right. It is a lot of money for a small item. But you have to put it in to perspective. It's a mad, mad, mad, logistical world!
The rear anti roll bar bushes are genuine Mazda items manufactured by a component supplier in Japan, transported to the port at Osaka, put in a container, loaded on a boat, shipped to Mazda's central distribution warehouse for Europe in Belgium, then put on a cargo plane to Coventry, then by lorry to our parts wholesaler in Surrey, who sell it to us for £4.14, loaded on to a Citylink van for overnight delivery to Bongo Mission Control in Sheffield where they are logged in on our "Stock" database and stored in a box on a shelf in our storeroom. By the way our storeroom is 1 of 4 rooms we occupy on the first floor of shared premises, and like all places round here we have to pay utilities, business rates, rent, skip hire, property manitenance, CCTV etc etc. Then when the order comes in we send it out by Royal Mail. Admittedly it doesn't take long to put 2 bushes (estimate 3 mins including addressing envelope etc) in a padded envelope (cost 5p), but we also have to get it to the Post Office which is about 1 mile away. If it's a nice day (rare in these parts) one of us will walk up in our lunch break to save a bit of petrol money.
We retail the bushes to members for £10 each. This breaks down as £5.63 plus £2.70 postage plus £1.67 VAT. We also have to pay a 2.9% credit card transaction fee, or 40p on a debit card transaction. Our gross profit on each bush is therefore about £1.10. We sell about 20 bushes a month, but then we also have to pay 20% corporation tax on the profit.
Tricky business pitching the price at just the right level! But I think £10 is probably about right!
