As per the title, I'm in the process of removing pulley for someone from a spare 2.5 TD engine & would like confirmation of whether is conventional or left hand thread. Either way, its not budging (yet).

Cheers. The bolt has been liberally doused in PlusGas fluid and tomorrow the blow lamp and 4 foot scaffolding bar will be making their presence known

Simon, don't know if your engine still has a starter on it.
If it does you could lock a bar on the crank nut and spin the starter. This method has worked for me countless times on other engines.....those that turn clockwise of course.

Unfortunately, no starter motor, but good idea though

Did you manage to free off the bolt?

Ahem, having another go Monday. Had to do emergency repair on the Volvo today when I found that the teeth on the flywheel had worn to the point where the starter would not engage. There are better ways to spend your Saturday afternoons instead of stripping engine down in a car park in Devon when it's pi**ing down

You and me both......Bongo would not start when I wanted to leave work tonight.......my fault.....just too much veg oil and a bit cold.
Managed to remove fuel filter and put some fresh diesel in it .......not the end of the world.
Live and learn eh.
