Has anyone used one?
Can you get an inflated/partially inflated one into the roof?
Would you be able to put it up on its edge while you got up through the hatch?
Been checking out the thin foam mattresses and I really think they'd be too thin for me.

I pumped mine up after I had put it in the roof. Just a thought.

I made my own from a piece of 3" thick memory foam, its fine for me.
The cutting instructions are in a Fact Sheet in the members section.

Easy peasy. Undo the zips and thread it through from outside!

We used 3inch foam and cut it to size and leave it up in the roof. Another option if you want blow up ones up there is to have the "catflap' adaption done, makes everything easier to get up into the roof

As my mosqito netting can testify.
If it is part inflated put it on the cab roof with the bed up and then put the bad down and unfold it.
I think I would put it through the tent zips though, fully inflated as suggested.

Thanks for the hints folks.
Where does a 3" thick foam mattress get stored in a full conversion?
Inflatable through the zips sounds good until our weather is considered
Lots to think about.

You should be able to leave it up there. Just make sure the roof motors aren't straining to close and lock the roof. But others have done it with no problems.

Ours is in sections and we stack them carefully, centrally between the sliders of the AFT window shutters;

The hatch it self has its hinge pins removed so it can be slid rather than rotated, makes life a lot easier.

Interesting - cant see how this would work with our one. Any further info?

Unless you have the Catflap modifications then, they are all the same. I just ground off the head of the rivets, pulled the rivets out and the hinges come apart, the flap then lifts and slides backwards.

Yep we took pins out our our hatch. Knocked they out with hammer an nail lot easier with sliding hatch than lift up hatch.
