Re: what type of gas?
I'm having trouble getting hold of Camping Gaz 901 cylinders at the moment - they're the only ones that will fit through the door of my gas locker (not even the 904 will fit). I used to get them from Go Outdoors but they haven't had any in stock since the summer. I've also tried a local gas merchant who can't get hold of them either. Anyone know if there's a supply problem?
Also if anyone knows of a reliable supplier in the East Mids please let me know!

I can't find any dimensions on the Web;Chris-W wrote:The cabinet is 27cm high, a 904 will fit. How much height does the regulator add?
but looking at my own and the image its only about 2-3 cms max above the height of the cylinder, and needs about another 1cm whilst screwing it on, its worth while making sure that any flexible pipe fitted allows you to get it out of the fixture so it can be screwed on outside.

That's exactly why I fitted the snap connectors Geoff.g8dhe wrote:I can't find any dimensions on the Web;Chris-W wrote:The cabinet is 27cm high, a 904 will fit. How much height does the regulator add?

Re: what type of gas?
I went to my local recycling center who have a facility for handing in unwanted gas bottles. Our local council have to request calor / flowgas / camping gas to come in and collect the general public's unwanted gas bottles. We were given a 907 for free as the council has to pay the above companies for each bottle collected, the bottle they gave us had to be completely empty in case it was faulty thus we had to hand it in for a quality full one. May be worth a try at your local center.

Thanks for all the replies and information. Eventually (today) I settled for the only gas bottle that fits in my setup, Camping Gaz 904, regulator and filled - nearly £70
