18" Road Wheels

Having recently purchased a set of 18" RX-8 wheels I need to think of what tyres to have them shod them with.
Currently they have 215 45 18" on them. This will not fill the wheel space enough for me.
I thinking of going 50 series tyres or even 55'
I would interested in if any members have played around with similar combinations and what worked best.

Hi, I'm running a set of RX8 18s aswell (nice choice by the way) and have had accelleras running on it
ACCELERA 225/50/R18 XL Rated fantastic.........
I'm at work at the moment and can't access any images of OLIVE. If you do a search for OLIVE on the forum you should be able to pull up a photo to see how well the rubber fills the arches.
I was looking a lowering, but after careful consideration decided against it - full camper load, lpg tank and 4 pax it wasn't worth it. Went for fitted rear spring stiffeners instead and they are fantastic.
Hope this helps

The speedo is running at approximately 3.5 miles or 6km over what I'm actually driving at - a good thing as it's a nice safety net for speed cameras.
hope this helps

Thats correct.........I've used a combination of gps and also those cameras that flash your speed up when you are coming into urban areas, as the first time I noticed there was a difference and then double checked it with a gps........
Good.........stays below speed limits if you obey your speedo
bad.......means that my average fuel consumption is not as awesome as once imagined..........HOLD ON!!!
WHO CARES I'm on that LPG at an awful 73p per litre.............

sadly I'm getting 'rinsed' by them London prices.......best I've paid in the UK is 69p per litre and the best ever price was in France at a big supermarket in Troyes and that was just a scratch under 62p per litre.
Disgusting if you ask me........
NOT....

Mine are painted black with a couple of little chips here and there. I will do a little touch up on them myself. No dinks or scrapes on them.
Going to pain my Bongo lime green in the near future with black bumpers etc.

That's a bit cruel - hurting it with lime green paint
