still having trouble with performance-2 litre

hi all, i posted back in jan with a few problems,loss of power, bad fuel consumption, well cut a long story....i have found a very good garage( mazz-tec in gosport ) he has all the bongo/mazda diagnostic system and they dont come up with any faults, poss that it could be the mass air flow unit...?? would there be such a thing as a senser on the auto box, i ask this because when you pull away and put your foot on the gas almost nothing happens, it seem like it is in the wrong gear...can anyone help me please....

Remind us again which engine have you got: FE-E (2.0) or J5-DE (2.5)?

Ta - looks like someone has edited the subject line now. The solution is 2 more cylinders & an extra 500cc

. Never played withe the 2 litre engine but did find it rather 'flat' when I took one out for a spin.

it is a 2l petrol. it hasent always been slow of the start. dont really know what to do now..
