V6 "flat spot"

Hello all.
Just noticed the other day that the van has a kind flat spot around 3000 rpm after changing gear.
It is only really noticable if you`re driving it hardish and when it changes gear the revs drop below 3000rpm,its like turbo lag,but obviously there is no turbo on the V6.
However,if i drive it a little harder and when it changes gear the revs are above 3000rpm there isnt the flat spot.
Hope someone out there knows ahat i am trying to get at.. ..
Thanks folks.....

Same with mine. Once the revs drop after gear change it feels like there ought to be more oomph. I'm planning on replacing plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm and fuel filter. K&N airfilter already installed with no real change. The next tweaks will be to check the ignition timing and adjust the TPS to get it change down a bit sooner.

Hello Simon.
Pleased i`m not the only one thats noticed.
What you have planned for you`re van is the only things i hav`nt done on my van, apart from the K&N!
Be interesting to see if it makes a difference?
I did read some where about a vacuum controlled valve in the inlet manifold,i wonder if that needs attention or is not operating correctly
