Bongo Fury

I bought my 8 seater bongo last year and LOVE IT!! we have been camping and have an awning tent etc. However, i would like some sort of conversion.... i still want to keep at least 6 seats. i only really need one cooking ring and a sink. no loo, bushes are always available! lol. ive looked on the sites but everyone offers full on £4K conversions. I can't decide whether to turn my rear seats round to face the very back seats of lose a seat..... too many options. please advice. many thanks.

go for a few more trips away before you make your decision there is stuff you NEED and some you don't take your time to decide just what you WANT and try to go to a few meets to see what others have and how they use the limited space available - then make up your own mind about what you want and can afford and go for it!!!!!

Hi don't know what part of the country your from as you have not put it on your on your avatar, here is a photo of my previous bongo I had a mini side kitchen comprising of 2 ring hob sink,fridge and PMS with a leisure battery, I kept the rear seat but replaced the middle row with a two bum lift up VW seat that I got of eBay. the company who carried out the work were " Elite Camper Conversions " they are in Worksop notts

We just carry a small washing up bowl and have never missed having a sink. Most sites have fixed sinks anyway and you get to chat to people and have a bit of excercise to and fro. If you want to keep six seats something probably has to go and my choice would be the sink.

if you put where abouts you are some well tell you about local met etc

this is aslo a good place for idea but take your time look at as many as you can see want biits of there conversion you like an dont like.
Also talk to some one thaat dose coversion some like clear cut as he well change his to the way you like it so givening you idea of price

Hello, new to the forum hopefully this will work !!??

i have a 97 plate bongo with full length floor runners and would like to attempt to reverse the middle bench seat (per above) this week end ready to fit a home made rear conversion (( any help tips would be appreciated on this too ))

Is this a fairly straight forward thing to do ?? im fairly handy diy wise - im looking to change the carpet at the same time - your experiences shared would be good to hear

are there any hints and tips that can be offered ?? do the bolt holes line up if you turn the rails ?? can you cut the rails in order to have as above seats facing each other ect ect

any help at all would be very much appreciated

Some one will be along in a moment no doubt and give you a link to show you some pictures but basically unbolt both seats and lift out of the way.
Remove the rear stops from rails slide the runners out keep them in order and reverse the runners cant remember the exact detail but its not rocket science.
Rear kitchen I would suggest making a card board one first then once its right make a proper one from wood.
