Hi everyone is there a seat belt light on the 1995 model mazda bongo, i see there is wires going to the seat belt socket on the drivers side and they plug into a loom under the center console, but i have no lit light on the dash board, is it because the bulb is missing maybe?

The light should come on briefly when you first turn the key. I know warning lights are now part of the MOT, although not sure if the seatbelt one is included.

My 95 has no working seat belt light either. It has never worked and it took me three years to realise it should have one. Never had any MOT problems and unless you crawl under the seat to find the plug and wiring there is no evidence it should have a light.

The previous owner seems to have thoroughly disabled it, so if there is ever a MOT problem I will remove the visible wiring. Never worried by its absence. Putting on belt while in car is automatic.

OK, i've looked into this one on my vehicle.... But never got round/keep forgetting/need to get a "special screwdriver to sort it...

In the part 57-900A the wire on mine is broke just up inside the seatbelt latch & with a jiggle back & forth mine works... But not always... http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... 2of03.html

I need to open the housing to the belt latch on mine to fix the wire... But these are special screw heads that hold it together... I believe this could be a common place stress is caused on the wire/loom...?!!
