How the hell do you get the bulb out?
I've tried removing the rubber cup, i've tugged and pulled the plastic clip the wires go into but it's not budging.
Is it held in by a clip i haven't found?

Remove the headlamp first (3 bolts if I remember correctly) - simple job and it makes bulb replacement simple

Depends what headlamps you have. If they're HID bulbs, than that's a different story, but for bog-standard headlights, pull the connector off and then release the spring clip. Should look a bit like this:

I haven't even seen a spring clip, is that behind the rubber cover?
Do you have to squeeze the connector or just pull it off? Might need a dose of wd40 as its the original bulb as far as i know.

Sorry, can help further as my van has different headlights where the bulbs are HID so the mounting is not the same.

Assuming you haven't got HID lamps:-
1) Yes, it's behind the rubber cover.
2) Just release the clip and remove the bulb and holder together - then heave like heck to separate them
Seriously, remove the headlamp first - it's a two minute job and makes the whole thing much easier, because you can see what you are doing

Simon how do you know if you have HID or normal?
I was wondering which my bongo has, noticed they seem pretty bright and are kind of smoked looking. The bulbs seem to come on then get a bit brighter a few seconds later. So thinking HID but wanted to know how to be sure.

and don't hold the glass of the new bulb with with your fingers, if you can't just hold the metal bit wrap a tissue or something round it.

If they get slightly brighter and you have one of these to adjust the level then you have HID:

Yes I have that pretty sure mine is like yours

minus the coolant issue I've discovered.
