Bongo Fury

Good morning folks, I need your help please. I parked the Bongo up on the drive last night then went out later on and saw what appeared to be water under the van. I checked the coolant tank and that appeared to be ok, I topped it up as a precaution.
I have driven in to work 2 hours ago and have just been to check and there has been another leakage, I have checked the water coolant tank again and it looks ok. The water looks to be coming from somewhere near the plastic protector under the van. Has anyone got any ideas what is causing the leak please?

could be the water pump or any of a few coolant pipes......the fact that it is not needing topping up could indicate that air is being "sucked" in.
YOU MUST not drive it untill it has been fully investigated and fixed.......topping up is not the answer.....cylinder heads are expensive if you allow it to overheat.

You may have to taste it to rule out leakage.

Assuming that you have proper coolant in the system, if what is appearing is plain water, it is either rain from the windscreen drain (or sunroof if there is one) or condensation fom running the a/c.

I saw a big patch where a car had been parked yesterday and assumed it to be a/c related.

I find it under my Toyota and Mazda after using the air conditioning .. more than likely simply evaporated water from the air conditioning unit..

Air Con normally shows behind drivers door

Hi
There's 2 aircon drains...one behind driver's door (if the rear aircon is switched on), and one centre front between the wheels
They can make quite a puddle

Thanks folks, This is going to sound like a silly question but would the air con need to have been run to cause the discharge of water? If so I may have a problem as I do not have the air con on a great deal, only when I put the screen blower on does the air con come on for a few seconds. Alternatively would the current hot weather be a factor in the leak.

Might be worthwhile having a look round the windscreen washer bottle.

It is good practice to run aircon for 5 mins once a week as the gas contains a lubricant which will stop the seals drying out.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post, I had a good look on Friday night after following the dripping and found an hole in the hose under the drivers seat. Managed to get it in the garage today.
