Strange light coming on? Anyone know what it is? V6

Hi
I've got a strange light that has started to come on, between the two buttons I have for lowering and raising my window blinds. You can see a photo here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ninalovelace/7534130782/

Does anyone have an idea what it is? My Bongo is a Wellhouse leisure conversion.

We think it might be the sediment light (showing that the sediment bottle below the fuel tank is full of water). We wouldn't be surprised, what with the lashing rain we have had for months...?

One of the common places to put the (after market) low coolant alarm LED .. but it is usually associated with a warning bleep when first turning on the ignition ..

Hi - no - its not the coolant light as I have one exactly like yours, but on the RHS of the drivers wheel. This light is on the LHS, has never come on before, and we have no idea what it is!

The sediment light is on the main (speedo) warning lights layout ..

Edit .. just noticed you have a V6 .. the petrol engines do not have a water / sediment light ..!!

Looks like an add-on of some sort, Alarm system, Coolant alarm etc. Can only suggest looking at the wiring and see what it goes to and hoping the box is marked! At what point does the light come on / go off ?

Hi
It's a warning light to show your fag lighter's missing....
Alternatively, is it a warning light to indicate rear fog...lookup behind the dash and trace the wires...or pull it out and trace!
OR....turn things on and watch the light...specifically the rear fog!
Cheers
Helen

It started to come on as we drove home yesterday - it started to flash on and off, went off, then went on, then over time seemed to 'stick' on. It sort of seemed like it was maybe a wiring problem as didn't just switch on and stay on if you know what I mean.
Thanks BTW for the sedimentation sign, clearly its not that then.

Just a thought on this ...

As your V6 is converted to LPG ... has it got a JLM valve saver system fitted .. ??

http://www.jlmlubricants.com/images/sto ... Manual.pdf

As they uses a LED low fluid warning light ...

I have Flashlube fitted to my V6 .. but I quite like the JLM system so I ordered a kit yesterday to remove / replace the Flashlube set up ..

Hm - it IS converted to LPG, but I don't know whether it has one of those fluid warning lights or not. Anyway we're taking it for a service this weekend so hopefully that will shed some light onto things....

My JLM kit arrived this morning .. I will remove my flash lube and fit the JLM in it's place .. as I quite like the low fluid warning indicator feature ..

Did the LPG fitter not tell you if you had an Upper Cylinder lubrication system fitted and it needs checking / topping up with the correct fluid ..??

Give Wellhouse a call and they will be able to tell you straight away I would have thought.
