Hello fellow bongotiers

We're moving to Malta in August and the powers that be want to know the "co2" and "particulate matter" values so as to properly tax our Bongo.

I've had a look at the Diesel Test from my last MOT and it looks like the only thing on it which could possibly be particulate matter is the "smoke K (1/m)" reading which is 0.84 . Does that sound about right?

Any idea what the co2 value might be for a diesel 4wd bongo (1996).

Many thanks!

=) Jen

Thank you Rita =)

Do you think the smoke number is the particulate matter?

Many thanks!

The official figure for CO2 is 302g/km - sorry, no idea about particulates.

That's the only emissions test done on the (Diesel)MOTT 1.5 is the maximum allowance.

Cheers.

After 6 free accelerations, the mean of the last 3 smoke levels is:
a.
for vehicles first used on or after 1 July 2008, more than 1.5m-1 for both turbocharged and non-turbocharged engines

b.
for vehicles first used before 1 July 2008: ..... which will be Diesel Bongo's

. for a non-turbocharged engine, more than 2.50m-1

. for turbocharged engines more than 3.00m-1.
