Automatic stalling still, Can anyone help PLEASE

Ok so before I end it all and find a cliff, I have a problem with my bongo. I have posted before on here about this but thought a fresh post would be the way to go.
The bongo stalls but only when cold. It can be best described as driving a manual without using the clutch when you are supposed to resulting in a rather aggressive stall. It does it in reverse, in drive (or any other mode) but ONLY when cold. Now I have just had the bongo back from Dunning’s after replacement of the lockup solenoid but that hasn't solved the problem. They thought it had as they were not picking up the rev's enough to cause the stall. When tested at the workshop after the work was carried out the mechanic only pulled away several feet and didn’t work the engine hard enough. Now this morning at home getting it off the drive, which takes a bit of rev the bloody thing stalled. For some reason it feels a lot better (I guess due to new filter / oil change in gearbox) but the nasty problem is still there. Before I have to go down the road of a re-con at £1250 + VAT could anyone suggest anything else to look at?
Please help out a fellow unhappy bongo owner.
Cheers
Pete
