hi,

we have recently been away for the 1st time in the bongo and just wandered if anyone could tell us how long the fridge could be on via the leisure battery without the vehicle moving?? we were very conscious about starting the motor all the time but im sure we were being over cautious??? as you can tell we are newbies!!!!!!!!!!!!

also if we ran it on the gas does anyone know how long the gas would last?

thankyou,
nikki :P

From what you say if you can run your fridge on gas it is a 3 way fridge and if it is they do not last long on the lesuire battery at all

on gas it should last quite a while depending on the gas bottle size my brother in law runs his on gas for 2 weeks at a time with no problems.

If its a 3 way fridge, then if you're on electric hook up, switch it to run on mains.

hi folks. Just joining in on this topic. I just got a Bongo. Love her!!! But can't figure out the Leisure Battery. When I use the control panel and put it onto Leisure Battery, it seems to switch back to the main vehicle battery. Does this mean it's not fully charged to start with. And if so, what's the best way to charge it? Does it charge while you're driving round or do you need to plug into mains? It was converted by AVA Leisure. I'm 100% new to this camper van lark so any advice would be great. Thanks a mill. Roisin
