Unable to locate the thread on advice for replacing the japanese radio on my soon to be supplied bongo.
Seem to recall a part No. from halfords for some kind of adaptor to convert to european radio CD units.
Halfords quote prices for fitting to various models of cars but the bongo is not listed. However our local halfords may fit if I can supply the colour code/wiring diagram plus the part No of the adaptor.

You could probably tripple the price in Halfords, and i bet it is exactly the same part,i`ve used the Ebay ones many times before with no prob`s.....

That part was £8 in Halfords about a year ago when I got mine.
It literally plugs in to the existing loom.
It has two earths so you need to find a point behind the radio to connect to.
Simple enough job.

Fit the cage, bent the slots to keep it tight, connect the earth, connect the harness, connect the aerial, push/plug in and away you go.

To be safe disconnect the battery first as there is a permanent live in the harness.

Its to do with the year of the vehicle, they changed in 2000, from the 2 connector type, to the single type,so aero's all have 1 connector
