Some of you know that I’ve been out of the loop for a few weeks but I got the all-clear from the hospital the other day, so what better way to celebrate than go off camping!! :?

Waterside House Campsite, by the side of Ullswater

“Just camp where you want” she said at reception. No sooner said than done 8)

Image
In mild celebration, some quality fizzy :D

Image
Cheers, don’t mind if I do

Image
Waterside you say, yep, I reckon it is!!

Image
Better get some tea on before it goes dark

Image
Not a shabby view from our chosen pitch

Image
Hmm, a possible contender for breakfast

Image
Up at 4am :( and in the park by 5.30am

Image
A leisurely breakfast is in order I think

Image
It survived

Back to the park

Image
Ok, a stroll to the next site up the road, and some trekking is in order!!

Image
This little critter wouldn’t stay still so this is the best I could do before it disappeared

Image
Happy :D

Back to the campsite....

....where there’s water, there’s Muzette

Image
....until the light fades

Image
¡perfectamondo! 8)

Image
After a day in the sun – Ouch!!

Image
After a day in the sun - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Image
Early again – where there’s water.....

Image
....never too hot

Ok. So, the direct way home? – Erm, I don’t think so. Seeing as it’s a nice day, how about making sure that transmission and cooling system are still working properly

Bluddy hell you guys know how to have a good weekend. Every visitor to this site will be rushing out to buy a Bongo after that vision of camping perfection. Really glad you are mended and back with a vengeance Muz.

Might have to pay that site a visit. Great pics, I was up Wrynose and Hardknott on my bike last month, I'd forgot how nice it was. Bit hard on the wrists on a sportsbike though.

There were plenty attempting the Hardknott last weekend. And there's a cool YouTube video of some nutter doing 77mph down the Kirkstone pass towards Patterdale

"cycling" don't think so, motorbike is what I am talking about. I nearly flake oot just thinking about peddling up there. I cycled about a mile last week with the little one on the back last week and nearly had a heart attack.
