Anyone got one of these?

Willinton kit on the way and as much as I can't be bothered messing with wires this seems ideal to keep an eye on the battery. What says you?

Aye, I've got one, in green though.
I have it wired through an ON-OFF-ON switch so it can monitor either battery. Fits in a 3-way switch block in the dash binnacle.

Hey Dave got any pics? Also do you have a link to the switch block?
Cheers Spud.

I don't think I have any pics of that side of the dash, I'll have a sniff around.
I got the on-off-on version of
this, but they don't seem to do it on that website any more.
Edit :
Here's one
Edit 2 :
Here's the meter in-situ. The switch is underneath it, on the underside of the binnacle, Rock left for L/B, right for S/B, centre for off.

Did you cut your plastic to fit that in?

Do note that they don't supply the shunt resistor for measuring the current however!
MPORTANT : A 200A 75mV Shunt (not included, available in our store) must be added if the meter is used to measure current / amps; otherwise the meter will be damaged.
you need to buy that as a separate item - another £8

Yeah a bit sneaky but did notice that. Still not bad to see what the battery is doing though.

TBH, I can't remember 100% - I think the 3 switch holes have dividers between then, which need to be cut away, but I don't think I made the hole any bigger.
The meter itself is just held in with hot glue. I didn't intend to use it as an ammeter, just wired across the batteries as a voltmeter.

I have one fitted in the"zig" type unit, I wired it up through a double throw switch so I can check both batteries a the same time. My radio, door lock and rear cabin main light work from the car battery, so I wanted to be able to check them both. I have a battery charger connected to the circuits so I can charge either battery from the electric hook up, if available. If no hook up I go for a drive when needed.

That's the way I wired one into my friend's Bongo - a three way toggle switch (known as SPDT or 1P2T switches - Single Pole, Dual Terminal) - so you can have leisure battery, starter battery, and off in the middle. I'll knock up a basic wiring diagram if I get a chance today. I mounted his display and switch in a plastic wall box normally used to blank household mains sockets and screwed it to the side of his kitchen unit.
