Rumbling sound on changing up a gear

I'm not sure if this is anything to worry about, but I've noticed that I get a brief low-pitched rumble when the auto transmission changes up a gear. I mainly notice it going from third to fourth, e.g. as the van comes over the crest of a hill doing 40 to 50 mph.
Any ideas what this sound is?

Odd, perhaps these wheels are the type that need spigot rings fitted and they are missing

They are RX8 alloys. Do they need spigot rings?

All the tyres are new. Also, it was serviced by Alan Cook in Cheltenham only three weeks ago, and he said the transmission fluid was fine...

It sounds like you may have left it too long between meals. Does the rumbling subside after you have eaten?

if youve eaten recently and theres no one in the back, check the centre bearing on the front prop, the front prop splines can also wear at the point it goes into the transfer case, grab it and give it a rapid twist and feel/listen for slap.

are they the same make/brand, and all inflated to the same pressure.
