Hi
Far too expensive. I have cover with 2gether which cost £67.50 for full UK and EU cover.
Called them out once in the UK and the guy they sent was very good.

Is that £165 for a year or single trip? I seem to recalling spending about £70 with Europ Assist but that was for a single excursion. If I was planning on going more often I would consider an annual policy. I've only had to call on their services once and I can't fault they way they handled everything and even called me later to check I got home ok.

With respect, most people do not take the time to read the 'deadly' small print which in a lot of cases has more 'grey areas' than the hair on my head

for instance, the wife and I have just desected the small print for Europe Assist breakdown cover and its a real eye opener when you get out the magnifying glass and find what they don't do... don't know too much about 2gether as they have only been on the bongo scene for a while but they were at one time a specialist insurer for VW .... I sorry But I just believe that can get good customer care throughout Europe and the UK for £67.50

Hi
Yes thanks I can read large and small print. In fact there is very little "small" print. There is a limit to six breakdowns per year. Losing keys or running out of fuel is not covered. Keys locked in vehicle not covered. Any immobilsation that is not either electrical or mechanical is also not covered. The cover looks pretty good to me.
As I said I have called them out once and they sent a guy that knew his stuff. This guy worked for a good hour and got me going again. Did not cost me one penny. What more do you want hopefully not blood!

RAC policy details look pretty straightforward. It mentions vehicles should not be over 6 years old at start of journey, but older vehicles will be covered for an additional cost. Couldnt see anything about the common 15 year restriction which can be an issue for the older Bongos.

How old is your vehicle though? I can't seem to find any comprehensive cover for less than 180£ single trip.

Hi
It is on an X plate. First registered Oct 2,000 in Japan.
It is funny because I clean and polish it more than my car or bike both of which I bought new. Must be bongo madness!.

Yes, I looked at that (page 15) and in my case I'm waiting for them to confirm (within my quote cost) that I have meet all the criteria's of the policy.. as i said in the other post one does have to dissect the 'small print'...shame though

This is strange because i got a quote for annual cover for £252 which went down to £183 when I gave them my N plate reg.
I'm a bit put off by their one call out only limitation, so waiting to see what I get with the AA's £284 quote.
No answer all day at 2gether.
