What's this power socket???

Dumb question alert! Behind our rear partial conversion there's a power socket - the standard 'lighter' type. But next to it is a second two pin socket - with a Japanese label above saying 'AC 100V'. What can we use this for?
Thanks

its an inverter to use the 12v to power japanese household electrical items
you would at least need to replace it with a 230v inverter but best get the wiring checked so it will take the strain

Someone else had one and found it was powered all the time from the L/B and was causing it to go flat.

Thanks peeps - so is this not a standard thing that all Bongos have? Interestingly our (week old) LB was flat when we checked on Saturday - only 5 days since the van had last been driven for quite a long journey.
Is there anything we can do?? :-/

The socket you mean? (or the LB?) If you meant the socket that sounds a good idea. Is that easy to do?
Sorry for all the questions - thanks for your help!

I had this with mine. Pull off the trim and you will see the inverter behind it. Just unplug the wiring from the bottom (watch your arm on those sharp trim clips) and let the cable hang loose. The 12v socket will work fine but the inverter won't flatten your LB. Easy!

Great thanks Getcarter! The only snag is that the (fixed) side conversion is in the way!! doh!

Can you get access through a cupboard or drawer rather than remove the conversion?
