I have managed to take the thread of my sediment trap tool thing( that screws into the end of the fuel filter) :(

Does anyone know where i can get a new one? Currently i have put a large bolt of the same thread in there to seal it up so i can drive around in the interim

Do you mean the white plastic bit below the filter?

You can have the whole lot (minus the used filter and rubber pipes) for £10 plus P&P if thats any help?

I did away with the sediment trap alltogether!
Part Number ALCO SP-899
This fits perfectly, it is a similar sized fuel filter, same thread, but no hole in the bottom of it.

How do you know if you've got any water in trapped in the filter if you not longer have the sensor fitted? The other problem is that if you ever sell the van & the next owner buys a standard filter it will no longer fit.

I had only a slightly dodgy thread on the white plastic sensor and whist driving it blew out the bottom of the filter, so untill I could get a new white plastic sensor I enlisted the help the local motor factors. After going through most of thier fuel filters (with the entire filter assembly off my van) I found this on fitted.
Been on two years now no problems ( Been to the Ukrain boarder and back) . Have not botherd to put the original back, (I have it with my spares) so it's a good alternative if you have a knackerd sensor.
