Hi - Please can someone help - I have this seemingly redundant switch on the dash to the right of the steering column

https://plus.google.com/photos/11615478 ... g9-s9urpUQ

What does it / did it do? (used to have a picassa account now seem to have a google+ :? - not sure how link will work - might have to right click and download in a new window to see - sorry :( .)

Cheers

Which switch do you mean?
Top one looks like a rear fog lamp switch. One with a picture of an engine is the self-destruct button  - OK, it works the exhaust flap in winterised models from North Japan

Hi - I mean the switch in the middle next to the coin cubby hole with some japanese writing on top, a small button in the centre and 'oil' on the bottom

Cheers

Ah - no idea  I thought that was warning lights rather than a switch

Is there a prize for the first correct guess?

Oil warning lamp test switch, perhaps?

You could press it and see what happens*.

*Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for any damage caused by pressing anything. Ever.

Some kind of James Bond gadget that dumps oil from the back of the van to cause the baddies to skid off the road?
