throttle jammed

bongo has not been used for over a week, started it up this morning only to find the throttle jammed so all ive got is engine idle speed, anyone come across this silly situation, the throttle is stuck/jammed solid,the throttle pedal is ok on its pivot, cable is flexible so it must be down at the throttle valve?
