My Bongo runs fine but when I first start it it trakes a few seconds for the oil pressure light to go out?
What type and grade of oil are people using?

I always used 10W/40, but the recommended is 5W/30.

Most garages use 10W/40 as their stock oil - 15W/40 is a bit thick and could explain why the light stays on longer (takes longer to circulate). I wouldn't worry as long as it goes out and stays out.
Does it do it even when the engine is warm?

Hi,
You could try changing the oil switch, this lag is usually associated with worn oil pump or main bearings( if the oil switch is OK)How long does the light actually stay on.??

The only way to see whats happening is test it with an Oil Pressure Gauge.

Cheers.
