at mot time you may be asked this question.
the answer from bongo towers is as follows, unless others know better .

kerb weight is the unladen weight, in this case a 2 wheel drive aft 1770kgs, plus full tank of fuel= 65kgs, plus average driver weight = 75kg ish. it is said to add the conversion weight, but im not too sure as the removed seats must weigh approx the same ??.

i did a search this morning and found a million different answers.
anyone any additional info please.

To save a lot of hassle,try and take your vehicle to a MOT testing stations that uses the ATL system,this system will self weigh the vehicle.

just put my '98 2.5 v6 trough MOT today-1970kg has been entered on certificate-I asked the question about weight being required;its just for the brake test settings.

I posted in December that I had been refused an MOT test as the vehicle weight was not on the VIN plate, which caused me a lot of hassle. The MOT station would not accept the "generic weight" quoted in the handbook.
Eventually got it MOT'd and the weight was stated as 1995 kg. This is for a 2.0 L petrol AFT year 2000 model
