The Terzo which uses the lifting handle bolt holes to attach it to the van is a stronger piece of kit

...true, but also not suitable for the later models which don't have handles on the tailgate.

but they dont really do any thing? and you cant climb on the the aft..be ok for tin tops......

Only really of practical use if you have something on the roof to get to, although does look quite cool too.
Also can be useful if you have a bike rack to provide extra support:

Ours came with a 2 piece ski rack to attach to the ladder.
Good for that " I'm just off skiing " look.

I had a ski rack too but it was past it's best and I never used it . I removed the neat ,shaped ,steel mounting brackets and used them to mount all sorts of stuff on the Terzo including motorcycle panniers and an alloy box.
