LPG Conversion - now CD player not reading - any ideas?

This is a real odd one and I can think of no explanation except coincidence, but its worth asking. I finally got the Bongo converted to LPG last week. All is fine, runs as perfectly as ever just a row of little lights on a spare switch and a petrol gauge stuck on half full.
But the CD player will not read CD's. It was working when I drove it in and not working on the drive back. The rest of the radio is fine, all stations there clock picking up the time OK. Its a Sony connected to the leisure battery. All my CDs still play fine on any other machine. They are all purchased rather than rewritten. Cannot find a reset button anywhere on the radio. Even found the instructions but they are of the useless in twenty languages variety.
Do I just replace the radio or is there something I have missed? All other electrics are working .
