We got a spare key cut from the local lock smiths who, after a few attempts, even got it to work the central locking. Think you need a "proper" locksmith though, not a quick cut/shoe shine variety.

Depends how worn your key is . I had many keys cut from my original at several shops and none of them worked fully. I gave my mazda agent the key No and he got one which worked perfectly. I then got another cut at Timpsons from the new one and it worked perfectly also. Mazda is expensive but guaranteed to work !!!
