Replacing a door mirror

Hi, couple of questions please.

Does anyone have or know where we might get a manual fold drivers side door mirror? Ours has been knocked off by a passing truck!

Also, wondering if its possible to convert to an electric fold by changing the mirror and the control switch i.e are the extra wires already in the loom? Because these mirrors seem easier to get hold of than manual fold ones.

Also is it possible to remove the mirror without removing the door card?

Thanks for your help

Ian

hi, i've just changed the drivers side mirror on my bongo because the old one would fold when raching 50 and not fold electrically. I'm afraid you have to takeoff the door card if fitting an elictric folding one, but I should think you wouldn't if non electric. The mirror housing is held on by 2 screws. Dead easy to get off. I've ditched the old one now.

If you are still looking at an elitric one I would check behind door card to see if the wiring is there. It's a white plug in the hole behind where the mirror situted.

Do you have a switch for the closing mirrors? a pointless effort if you haven't.

I know theres been problems with Bongobits, but I do know tha thy have several mirrors in stock as they hve just scrapped 3 bongos.

all the best

electric mirrors can be manualy used so may be worth considering using even if there is no loom
