Welcome!
Yes there is a diagnostic socket..... was that all you wanted to know ?
Its behind the glovebox and mounted "upside down" all the info you need is here http://www.philmcfadden.co.uk/MazdaDiagnosticBox.htm
Its totally non-standard to the usual OBD/OBD2 sockets so plugging in the usual testers will tell you nothing!

You can read it yourself if you have a multimeter

By the way it doesnt always give you the answer, I fixed my recent fault codes after a break down and im still having running issues with my van  if it's not carefull it will be getting chopped in for a vito exec :D

thanks for the reply looks like that socket wont tell me a lot then.my bongo just seems to make a lot of noise but with no power, the engine runs smoothly enough with no misfires .i have replaced the air filter and spark plugs .i think next job is to have a look at the distributer cap and rotor arm.could any one let me know if the dizy cap is easy to get at.cheers dave black over silver tin top

I have to emphasise that I have no connection with lpgimports except that he converted my V6 to LPG

After meeting / talking to Paul face to face, he comes over as a very approachable / talkative guy who really knows his Bongos ... he maybe able to help / suss it out ..??
