My temperature gauge on the dash has stopped working today. When I turn on the ignition you can see it jolt very slightly but it doesn't move anywhere.
I had 4 new tyres fitted and a wheel alignment today I just wonder if something could have been knocked or is it just coincidence?
not really sure where to look first any help would be much appreciated
cheers
Michael

Hi, i may well be pointing you in the wrong direction... (Mines a diesel.) Try this link? Part 18840C..?
http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... o=.html#11 Could be duff continuity? Certainly nothing to do with the tyres fitted and a wheel alignment...!

temp sender on a v6 is at the top/front of the engine, very near the belts, check the belts are ok. it is in a weather prone position so it may just be tarnished, strip and clean the sender and wire connector.

That's the kiddie cheers, the spade connector had snapped. As it's really hard to get hold of parts I looked on
http://www.yiparts.com and managed to find one from a Daihatsu Charade which fitted. All done which is good news.
Now the bad news

the large hose near it is leaking. I had a cambelt changed about a month ago and it took them seven and a half hours. I was shocked. I have also noticed they have broken the dipstick top off plus they must of unscrewed the front seats as the passenger seat was put back and not tightened up. That's the first and last time I take the Bongo to a garage in Oz. Give me Andys Imports near Norwich anyday.
Gonna change all the radiator hoses I think as we are going to do some serious traveling once I am happy that the Bongo will be reliable enough.
cheers
