Bongo Fury

Hi all
i have had my cambelt changed this week by a local garage but it seems terribly rough on startup and when idle im sure its not normal and plan to go back to the garage today but what are your thoughts that could be wrong? i know very little about cars but dont want to seem that way when i go back this afternoon to complain.

Wonkanoby is spot on there I did mine back in March using the faq sheet, the replacement belt has to be spun round once or twice with the aid of spanners once fitted to confirm alignment first time I was one belt tooth out had to take it off and refit because it was slack took me all day but what an improvement. It's very hard to get too they will not be keen to go back under and strip out all the covers etc, but if they ain't done it right they are duty bound, also don't drive it to hard or far as it is, hope this helps get the faq and take it back with you

It would be worthwhile checking the hose that goes onto the spigot here...1320....../93-4104,and any other vaccum hoses/spigots.

Tip for getting the belt on correct.
Start the engine with the old belt in situ.
Hold a sharp stanley knife at the centre of the belt and cut through.
Stop engine.
Remove the "front" half of the belt.
Slide the new belt on.
Cut and remove the rest of the old belt.
Push the new belt fully home.
