Fitting a clock
There is a very good fact sheet on fitting a digital clock from a Daewoo into a Bongo. The Battery + and Earth are wired into the cabin light cluster, with a wire tapped off the back of the radio running to the Ign terminal of the clock. My cabin lights are wired into the leisure battery, so can I simply ignore the Ign terminal, or do I need to hook it up to an alternative Ign controlled feed?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Fitting a clock
I didn't use the ign live when I did mine, as with yours I took it from the LB & fitted a switch so I could turn the display on & off as I use that as my clock when I'm camping, but don't need it on when parked outside the house.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Re: Fitting a clock
Which clock(s) did you use? The fact sheet talks about Daewoo but is that the only suitable unit?

Re: Fitting a clock
I fitted the Daewoo one, spent a few afternoons wandering scrapyards & trawling fleabay in search of other options without luck.
There is of course the option of fitting the BMW analogue or mazda (626?) digital ones in the spaer slot in the dash if you haven't got a double din stereo taking it up.

Re: Fitting a clock
I think it was the Nubira? Simon Jones is the guy that came up with it, he may be along to confirm, or pm him, he may even be able to supply, sure there were threads on it, I thought I'd posted when I fitted mine, but can't find the info

Re: Fitting a clock
Hi Terry - I've dropped you a pm. I have a number of these clocks which I've modified to suit the Bongo & can provide a complete kit of all the parts required.
Re: Fitting a clock
Hiya,
If you have a number of them -- I would like one too.. how much please?! Looks great - better than the old BMW clock I had which fell to peices.
Thanks!
Steve

What about these as an alternative? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-MINI-One- ... 4aaef72b3e
Not sure if they'll fit, but may be worth trying.
