Help! Interior lights and central locking....?

Morning all.

Just completed (what I thought was) a nice easy job at the weekend - sticking a new stereo into the Bongo.
Taking out the old one was fine, then we had a quick trip into town....
...oddly, I noticed that the central locking wasn't working.... put it down to co-incidence, or dodgy batteries in the keyfob.

came home, finished fitting the new one, all works fine, no problems.
That evening, went out to get something from the van, discovered that interior lights don't work! (none of them, driver, side or rear, and don't work when you use manual switch on them either.)

what the hell have I done?!?
I've since checked the batteries in the keyfob (fine) and had a really good search around under the dash/glove compartment yesterday - I'm 99% sure that all cables are sound, and can't see any loose/unmade connections.

I can't understand what I might have done to cause a problem, and I can't imagine that the lights/locking is wired through my stereo is it?!

is it possible that I blew a fuse whilst changing stuff over? (if so, which one!?)
any other ideas?
grateful for any assistance - I'm not very mechanical, but I figured that changing a stereo was within my capabilities....oh dear......

OK fair enough.. Fuse 1 does the courtesy lights & the radio memory.. (As well as something to do with the engine management on the diesel. But don't wory about that!) So i'm thinking you may have shorted & blown a fuse on the constant live while wiring the radio?

Do you have a factory fitted remote CL or after market..? There may have been a feed for the remote receiver taken off that circuit too?

That's what I was thinking! - when i was fitting the stereo I couldn't get any power on the constant live wire (or at least the wire which the old stereo was connected to #-o ), so I ended up just using the ACC live instead
And, no, the old stereo didn't work unless the engine was on, so I'm guessing that's a historic problem with the constant live......but, the C/locking did work!

I don't know if the C/L was factory fit or aftermarket as it was already on the van, but I'd imagine it's aftermarket as I have a seperate fob and there's no Mazda badging on it?

Unless wiring is modified, the stereo/ciggy sockets/mirrors are only supposed to work with the ignition on.

ahhh, okay, that explains a lot!

sounds like there's a very good chance I just blew the fuse.
not that I'd admit it publicly , but i did just 'try' :? a few different connections to see if I could get it to work...

thanks to all - dropped a new fuse into top left spot, and hey presto! =D>
