I used original RX8 nuts, no spigot rings fitted and mine drives perfect, wheels balanced no wobbles no problems.

Hi
thanx for the info, the alloys just arrived today and are in really good condition, just need a good clean up and they will look the muts nuts. I bought them off flea bay for a good price, all I need now is some studs and decent rubber which will have to wait, I think I will leave the original steel wheels and tyres on for the winter. These alloys look better on the Bongo than they do on the RX8

.
Cheers Mikey

Check out
www.blackcircles.com
got me rubber from there
225/50R18 with the xl load rating ....acceleras......got them this spring and have done about 5000miles in all weathers with no problems what so ever!
Excellent tyres and shouldn't set you back any more than £350.....

On ebay you can get a set of Chrome Bongo wheel nuts fairly cheaply that fit the RX8s but suggeest you also get a set of locking wheel nuts too . . . .

Yea I managed to source some chrome studs from e bay original RX 8 studs and also sourced som rubber from
http://www.tyrewizard.co.uk/car-tyres-c ... celera-m13 £240 for the set, don't know what to go for though I'm tempted to fit the 225 45 18 but the loading is only 95k so will have to go for the 225 45 18 at 99k better to be safe than sorry, or I may have to loose a few pounds

I've got a set of RX8 alloys in the garage waiting for tyres. I'm looking for 225/45/18 tyres but the highest load rating I can find is 95 (I've tried all the usual internet tyre sites). The 99 rated Accelera tyres on tyrewizard are 225/50/18. Is there still a 225/45/18 Accelera available with a 99 load rating?
I could go for the 50 profile but I want to keep the rolling diameter the same as my 215/65/15 spare (which is why I want the 45 profile). Has anyone seen 225/45/18 99's anywhere recently?

They are out there, however accelera have (to the best of my knowledge) stopped doing them!
If you want those sizes then you are looking anywhere between £100 to £180 a corner
The usual suspects such as Bridgestone, Pirelli etc etc

Thanks - that confirms my suspicions.
Plan B it is then!
