Bongo Fury

We have returned within the last couple of hours from a trip to France,Belgium,Luxemborg and Germany, all in all the old girl went quite well, the niggly bit was the fuel gauge decided to pack up, not a problem this will get fixed.

One question i would like answered is that on the height of the suspension, when i looked at my Bongo while waiting for the train at the tunnel i noticed that the front was higher than the back.

So if i measure from the centre of the hub to the wheel arch what should it be for for the front and also the back.

But as i said she was a good girl.

Where was all your luggage, in the back ?

Yes, but even after i returned home and emptied it out, the back was lower by nearly 2 inches.

I've noticed it on mine too. However I think it's down to the trim of the vehicle and it's disposition of the 'loads'.

Also how fuel did you have in the tank?

Mines an LPG convert so when the gas tank is full, combined with a third of petrol, combined with a camping load nose is up a bit. Levels out when I put me fat bum in it though!

Empty (no load and little fuel) there is still a slightly lower look from the rear opposed to the front.

I've just had it MOT'd and fully serviced at me bongo garage in Worcester and there was no reports of faulty suspension.


Maybe our noggins a listing to starboard slightly!
