Bongo Fury

Was looking at puting some lights on the edge of the driver and passenger dorrs,so when you open the door the lights come on.

There are a rubber grommets there already.


any thoughts??

i looked at doing this too, be intrested if anyone has done it already

Thought it would make it safer when you open the doors!

Good idea, and i think pretty easy to do lets have some pics when done.

I've considered this in the past..But never did get round to doing it. If you are talking about lights to simply warn traffic the doors are open, then consider the 3 led thin strip lights that are intended to light up exterior doorhandles... They are thin enough not to interfere with the door jamb when the doors close i reckon....

As fitted to my tailgate handles when i was still "old shape"

The three wise men in reflection I think, Dabs, BDC and of course DBO

Had one a couple of years ago with a stick on strip of red leds and it also had a strip of white leds stuck on bottom of doors facing down to illuminate ground around when getting in.

Was a fairly nasty Japanese job with a kind of stick on tap holding the wire and wire was routed in through to cabin and interior lights circuit.

Liked the concept the job was a little nastily done.

I'm not so sure about the "wise" bit dunc....or the "men" bit come to think about it!

I bet they used speaker wire! Good idea, not so well employed though by the sounds of it Julian...
