very nice. i'm not meaning to pick holes , meerly thinking out loud really , but the only thing that springs to my mind is wether , with a bit of loading on the bars , that the captive mounting points in the roof may not like the strain. if they were mine i would probably fit something like a rubber door stop directly under the tube itself to spread the load. tasty looking bars thouigh.

i was thinking that the gap might be a problem and i was thinking of putting a shoes on them, just need to make them up.
but a £40 i very happy with them and they hold two surf with ease.

i bet you're happy at £40 ! i paid £55 inc p/p and i've never used them but one day i'm sure i will and at £182 new i'm happy!
As these are made specifically for the bongo by bongo specialist dealers i reckon the fixings will be fine but it pays to be careful as they are only fixed to a fibre glass/plastic roof after all. it won't hurt to pad 'em a bit.
