Dave
I have had a few ideas for the meet location in East Devon.
There is the donkey sanctuary at Sidmouth http://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk which is free admission to visitors and lots of parking, toilets and cafe.
Or the seafront car park at Budleigh Salterton where charges apply, toilets are nearby and there is a walk up beside the river or along the seafront.
Haldon forest cycle trails just off the top of Telegraph Hill on the A38 is similar to Cardinham with toilets, cafe and woodland trails.
These are just a few ideas.
Cheers Rich

I vote for the Donkey Sanctuary! It's a lovely place! You can wander around looking at the Donkeys in the fields, and the old ones in the stables. And there's a longer walk, down to the sea. Plus, if we spend any money in the cafe, it helps the Donkey charity.
Allan's closed. in Plymouth we recommend PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services

Re: Monthly meet for September
Hi Bev, the date should be the 25th but seeing quite a few of us are meeting up the two week ends before we could move it to the following week end, the 2nd Oct. The last sunday in October is not till the 30th. I think that it will be the 2nd October.

Hello everyone
This sounds good to us - will make sure we are in the area that weekend. Donkey Sanctuary might even keep an area in their overflow car park for us as they are very accommodating...............

Re: Monthly meet for September
Hi folks, the monthly day meet for September will held at the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth on Sunday 2nd October.
I think a few of us will be making a week end visit, so those who can furnih some local knowledge about camp sites, your input would be most welcome.

Re: Monthly meet for September
looks a nice site bessie but too pricey for us , the friday night is £3 more expensive anyway being still in sept and dogs , awnings and children are all extra ,for the friday and saturday night we would be charged £64.60 . . We will stick with Charmouth clubsite and meet up with you all on the Sunday looking forward to catching up with everyone should be a good meet.

Re: Monthly meet for September, will be on 2nd October
Campsites: We always stay at Oakdown which is also very close to the Donkey Sanctuary - non hook up £11.30/with hook up £15.20 per night for 2 people BUT dogs/awning charged extra BUT from 1 Oct 80p per night reduction for pensioners. (Might be useful to one or two of us!) Friendly and helpful staff and everything spotlessly clean. Freezer and microwave for general use. Free showers/hot water/loos etc but no clubhouse/bars. Also in the area is Kings Down Tail site but we don't know anything about that one. Seems they are all on the expensive side esp for a family.
