Anyone been to Conkers in the National Forest? We've just booked a week there, looks really good on the website.

Its all right but a bit barren when we where there a couple of years ago, no trees, just a large exposed field, normal standard of services etc. No real character to it, soulless

Not sure about the actual campsite but I took my two kids last month to the Conkers park/activity place....
Really enjoyed it but we did have really good weather and most the fun stuff is outside ie the assault course, Maze ,play park and the train ride etc...
The indoor stuff is also fun but really for the older kids as mine are 3 & 6 years old...
Good value for money IF you get nice weather and take a picnic..
We camped at
http://www.beehivefarm-woodlandlakes.co.uk/
Only 10 mins away........

Not been there but it looks good. You still around London at times? Should pop in if you're around

Hey, yes I'm still living the dream in the Bongo in London, house sittin in Islington as well off and on. Only in London for a few days in the next few weeks. I'll pop in soon. Full on at work at the moment when I'm down there.
The campsite looks quiet but that's not a bad thing sometimes.

C&CC conkers site is fine....good facilities etc.... Conkers itself is also good for walking & cycling getting away from the Discovery & Waterside elements..... we strode out to Ashbourne from there as well as other places close by....
